What you will do

• Develop optical test beds for coherent pluggable modules under varied system conditions.
• Execute test plans and validate the performance of high-speed optical transceivers.
• Develop software to automate optical test beds and measurements, preferably using Python.
• Debug and analyze test results and propose improvements to other teams.
• Write test reports and develop database solutions for storing test results.

Requirements

• PhD or master’s degree in optical communications, optics, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of industry experience.
• Familiarity with optical fiber coherent communication systems.
• Experience using optical laboratory equipment, including optical spectrum analyzers, variable optical attenuators, EDFAs, and optical power meters.
• Experience measuring OSNR and working with fiber impairments such as CD, PMD, PDL, SPM, and XPM.
• Experience setting up optical test beds and automating measurements with software.
