What you will do
- Develop product-level power systems, subcomponent designs, and circuit pack power architectures
- Design AC/DC power interface modules and platform cooling solutions
- Contribute to schematic capture and layout for high-performance circuit packs
- Collaborate with hardware, mechanical, thermal, software, and systems teams on design and integration
- Partner with suppliers, procurement, and manufacturing for production transition
- Verify designs using lab prototypes and production testing
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering degree with work-term experience in system power, grounding, and product development
- Postgraduate qualification in Electronics or Power Electronics
- Demonstrated project management and strong organization skills
- Hands-on experience with power lab equipment, measurement techniques, and microelectronic power development
- Familiarity with PCB schematic capture and layout tools
- Proven English written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of power topologies like buck, boost, flyback, forward, resonant LLC, and closed-loop control
- Experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies; soldering and PCB rework
- Simulation tools such as LTSpice and PSPICE
Nice to have
- Work-term experience in power electronics
- Exposure to communications hardware product development
- Familiarity with power, grounding, and EMC standards for Telcordia and data centers
