QHSE Associate (Bilingual French or Spanish)

Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Candidates within commutable distance to an hirify.global office must work a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home; candidates outside an office area may be considered for remote work. Reliable transportation and up to 30% travel are required.

What you will do

• Conduct desktop safety and health program, policy, procedure, and training audits for suppliers in the hirify.global platform.
• Assess documentation against applicable federal, state, provincial, regulatory, industry, and operator requirements.
• Help customers and suppliers close audit gaps and deficiencies through recommendations and guidance.
• Perform customer verifications and support audit closure.
• Respond to supplier and customer inquiries, document case details, and escalate complaints or concerns when necessary.
• Attend training, meetings, and seminars while maintaining audit quality, SLA, and response-time targets.

Requirements

• 1–5 years of relevant safety-profession experience, safety or environmental internship experience, or contractor prequalification verification experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to interpret regulatory requirements, industry best practices, statistical data, and safety documentation.
• Foundational knowledge of federal and state legislation, with the ability to continuously learn and apply regulatory requirements.
• Strong written and oral communication, problem-solving, prioritization, multitasking, and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of Windows-based PCs and online software systems.
• Reliable transportation, regular attendance, and availability for up to 30% travel.

Nice to have

• Bilingual proficiency in French or Spanish in addition to English.
• Two-year or four-year degree or accredited safety certification.
• OSHA 30-hour Construction or General completion.
• Experience with environmental, oil and gas, MSHA, maritime, or related regulations.
• Experience developing or revising safety and health programs.
