Hardware Engineer (Automotive)

hirify.global designs and manufactures vehicle technologies and systems for commercial vehicle, automotive, off-highway, and agricultural vehicle markets, including vision, safety, emissions control, and security products.

What you will do

• Develop hardware for new and amended products in the Vision & Driver Assistance product line, including ECUs, cameras, and monitors for off-road and heavy vehicles.
• Design PCBs, including schematics and layout, using Altium and Siemens Xpedition.
• Analyze customer requirements and product definitions, determine design requirements, and maintain design drawings and documentation.
• Support project planning, product manufacturability, existing production products, supplier component selection, and required tools and processes.
• Perform simulations, desktop functional testing, and coordinate verification and validation activities with the testing department.
• Contribute to DFMEAs and apply DFT/DFM and EMC/EMI design principles for reliable PCBA mass production.

Requirements

• HBO/WO-level education in electronic or electrical engineering.
• At least 5 years of hardware development experience in the automotive industry.
• Knowledge of electronics EMC/EMI testing and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
• Knowledge of automotive core tools including PPAP, DFMEA, 8D, and APQP.
• Comprehensive knowledge of software and hardware.
• Knowledge of legislation concerning product safety and the environment.
• Fluency in English.
• Good communication skills with colleagues and up-to-date knowledge of developments in the field.
