AV Engineer

Location: New York City, NY; hybrid policy requiring staff to be in an office at least 25% of the time. Up to 8 weeks of domestic and international travel may be required for office build-outs.

What you will do

• Lead AV design, procurement, programming, and commissioning for new offices, expansions, and retrofits.
• Create system designs, schematic drawings, line diagrams, rack elevations, programming logic, and operational documentation.
• Deliver first-day-of-business deployments and ensure conference rooms, event spaces, and collaboration areas are operational.
• Coordinate AV requirements with architects, contractors, workplace teams, Security, and IT.
• Evaluate emerging AV technologies and develop automated solutions that improve reliability and reduce operational overhead.
• Oversee global AV operations, vendors, integrators, event production, maintenance, and service delivery standards.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise AV systems.
• Proficiency in control system programming using the Q-Sys ecosystem or similar platforms.
• Hands-on experience with video conferencing platforms, particularly Google Meet.
• Ability to create and interpret AV schematics, line diagrams, and rack elevations.
• Understanding of audio DSP, including acoustic echo cancellation, noise reduction, EQ, dynamics, and automixing.
• Experience managing multiple projects, troubleshooting integrated systems, and translating stakeholder requirements into technical solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience with Logitech conferencing systems, Q-Sys certifications, CTS or CTS-D, and Lua control scripting.
• Background in broadcast production, live event engineering, large-scale office deployments, or AV installation.
• Experience with Netgear switches and AV over IP systems such as QLAN, Dante, or SMPTE 2110.
• Familiarity with digital signage, acoustical design, or Google Workspace administration.
