Finance Business Partner (Telecom)

Location: Hybrid, with regular time expected in one of hirify.global' hubs; occasional travel for workshops, customer meetings, and company off-sites.

What you will do

• Build financial cases for carrier negotiations, including rate benchmarks, counter-proposals, walk-away points, and deal models.
• Model and manage volume and revenue commitments across carrier agreements, identifying shortfalls and mitigation options.
• Forecast connectivity costs across carriers and markets based on subscriber growth, usage profiles, and contractual rate steps.
• Validate gross margin reporting, rate cards, tier and zone treatment, promotions, and carrier invoice reconciliation.
• Analyze data, voice, and SMS usage economics to inform pricing, allowances, and deal structures.
• Support commercial pricing with floor prices, margin analysis, and scenario models.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or strategy, with exposure to negotiations and unit economics.
• Experience building precise and persuasive financial models for negotiation decisions.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills and comfort working with large datasets, tiered rate structures, and forecasts.
• Familiarity with SQL or similar data tools for validating margin reporting against contractual terms.
• Interest in telecom concepts such as roaming, wholesale agreements, MVNO economics, and regulatory changes.
• Comfort working across US and European time zones and attending hubs regularly.

Nice to have

• Experience in telecom, wholesale, marketplace, or infrastructure cost environments.
• Experience using Claude for financial modeling and productivity.
