Finance Business Manager (FP&A)

Location: United States — approved national locations; Virginia or Florida preferred, with North Carolina or Georgia also considered. The position is listed in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Partner with divisional leaders as a trusted FP&A advisor for assigned business areas.
• Lead monthly reporting, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Translate financial data into clear narratives and insights for senior leadership, boards, and committees.
• Support decisions through financial modelling, product profitability analysis, revenue analysis, vendor performance reviews, and scorecards where relevant.
• Work with HR Business Partners and business leaders on headcount, compensation forecasting, and capacity planning.
• Improve data quality, reporting processes, planning methods, finance tools, data governance, and AI-enabled analysis.

Requirements

• 5+ years of FP&A and finance business partnering experience, ideally in a mature organization with structured planning, reporting, and allocation processes.
• Strong financial analysis, modelling, forecasting, budgeting, and management reporting capabilities.
• Ability to turn data into a clear business narrative and communicate confidently with senior stakeholders.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with comfort using financial systems and reporting tools.
• Critical thinking, ownership, and judgment, including the ability to identify issues, develop options, and recommend a way forward.
• Experience supporting process improvement, data governance, reporting enhancement, or finance systems and tooling improvements.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, or a related field.

Nice to have

• MBA, CPA, CFA progress, or another relevant finance qualification.
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, NetSuite, or similar ERP and reporting tools.
• Experience supporting product profitability, revenue modelling, vendor analysis, or scorecard reporting.
• Interest in using AI tools to improve analysis, review materials, or finance workflows.
