Substation Automation Supervisor (Field Communications)

Location: Berlin, Connecticut, United States; travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire is required, with emergency restoration assignments and on-call duties.

Annual salary: $133,620–$148,470, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Lead field installation, maintenance, and technical support for SCADA RTUs, data concentrators, telemetering equipment, communication gateways, HMIs, and related electronic systems.
• Provide technical expertise to T&D control centers, construction, test and maintenance, and engineering groups.
• Monitor performance indicators, identify trends, and take corrective action within the assigned area.
• Manage employee expectations, feedback, performance reviews, and performance issues.
• Direct safety compliance initiatives and promote safe work practices and a customer-first culture.
• Participate in on-call rotations and emergency restoration assignments as required.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of power system operations, information technology, SCADA, and modern equipment monitoring technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical technology, or a similar discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Five to ten years of relevant experience.
• Valid motor vehicle driver’s license.
• Availability to travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire and respond to emergency restoration assignments.
