Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States; on-site

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 per year plus bonus; restricted stock units included.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop the manufacturing engineering team while allocating resources across production lines and NPI projects.
• Optimize plant layouts, assembly-line balance, production processes, and facility throughput.
• Direct capital equipment and tooling strategy, including budgets, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
• Establish Lean manufacturing improvements using Value Stream Mapping, 5S, and Kaizen to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Lead DFMA and Design for Excellence reviews with mechanical and electrical engineering teams, focusing on cost reduction and assembly simplification.
• Own manufacturing NPI activities and engineering change orders, including production handoff and assessment of inventory, tooling, and labor impacts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 7–10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in heavy assembly, electromechanical, or engineered-to-order environments.
• 3+ years of direct supervisory or management experience developing technical talent.
• Deep knowledge of Lean manufacturing and proficiency with 2D/3D CAD software for plant-layout reviews.
• Advanced knowledge of metals, materials, welding, mechanical assembly, and busbar forming for power distribution equipment.
• Participation in a drug and alcohol program is required because the role is safety-sensitive and/or located in a safety-sensitive facility.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering Management or an MBA.
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
• Experience leading a greenfield manufacturing plant startup.
• Professional Engineer license.
