Sr Designer- Underground Transmission (CAD)

Location: Westwood, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid schedule with at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and availability to work up to five days in the office when required.

Starting rate: $49.51/hour, increasing to $50.67/hour after six months.

What you will do

• Design, assemble, and prepare complex electrical drawings independently.
• Update utility and infrastructure drawings to reflect engineering changes and field conditions.
• Perform field checks and support field verification activities.
• Apply engineering practices and electric utility construction standards to assigned projects.
• Organize and manage drafting workflows and provide guidance to other drafting personnel.

Requirements

• At least three years of drafting and design experience using CAD software, including Autodesk or AutoCAD.
• Associate degree in Drafting, Survey Technology, or a related discipline.
• Ability to work in both office and field environments.
• Knowledge of relevant engineering practices, electric utility construction methods, and established drafting standards.
• Strong organizational skills and demonstrated aptitude for advanced drafting and design work.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants requiring immigration-related sponsorship will not be considered.

Nice to have

• Civil 3D experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
