Project Engineer (Power)

Location: Lehigh Valley, Wilkes-Barre, or Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States.

Salary: Starting at $89,000 per year; final compensation depends on experience, qualifications, and licensing.

What you will do

• Perform civil engineering design and technical analysis for power utility, land development, energy, and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare site development, grading, utility, access, and construction plans.
• Design stormwater, drainage, erosion and sediment control, grading, earthwork, roadway, access, and utility infrastructure systems.
• Coordinate with power utility clients and stakeholders on access, constructability, right-of-way, permitting, and utility requirements.
• Prepare permit applications, technical reports, cost estimates, proposals, schedules, budgets, and project documentation.
• Conduct site visits, collaborate with project stakeholders, and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 4–8 years of civil engineering experience in power utilities, land development, site design, or related infrastructure.
• Engineer-in-Training certification required; Professional Engineer license preferred or in progress.
• Experience with site layout, stormwater management, grading and drainage, utility infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, and permit applications.
• Knowledge of local and state permitting processes and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute effectively to project teams.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting electric utility clients such as PPL.
• Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software.
• Professional Engineer licensing or progress toward licensure.
