Location: New Bedford, Massachusetts, United States; work is performed in the office and field, with travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire as necessary.

Annual salary: $95,600–$106,220, commensurate with experience, with potential incentive eligibility.

What you will do

  • Support the gas operations quality control program across construction, maintenance, meter service, leak survey, corrosion, damage prevention, LNG, and I&R activities.
  • Audit job sites and verify compliance with federal, state, company, construction, operating, and safety standards.
  • Verify work packages, procedures, mapping information, qualified personnel, contractor onboarding, and Operator Qualification Plan compliance.
  • Identify non-compliant conditions, recommend corrective actions, and document inspection results accurately.
  • Support the annual gas inspection plan, random inspections, and the re-dig program.
  • Take an assigned Emergency Restoration role and support gas or electric operations during emergency or work-continuation events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Three to five years of experience in gas distribution, utilities, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of gas construction and maintenance standards, work practices, procedures, safety requirements, assessments, and audits.
  • Strong technical writing, oral communication, organizational, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and the ability to adapt to other PC-based software tools.
  • Must be available for emergency restoration assignments, field work, and travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire; visa sponsorship is not available.
