Gas Compliance Engineer

Salary: $70,000–$156,600 per year, depending on level and experience.

What you will do

• Apply engineering standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to gas compliance assignments.
• Develop and support technical documentation, including designs, testing materials, calculations, reports, and standards.
• Provide technical support for operations, maintenance, testing, diagnostics, regulatory activities, commissioning, and inspections.
• Coordinate or lead project phases including research, design, equipment selection, procurement support, installation, and commissioning.
• Support bid and proposal evaluations through technical analysis and calculations.
• Coordinate interns, drafters, technicians, and other personnel while supporting project budgeting, forecasting, and work order management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited curriculum.
• Relevant experience requirements range from 0+ years for entry level to 9+ years with PE registration for principal level.
• EIT/FE is preferred for entry and staff levels and required for senior-level candidates unless they have 7+ years of relevant experience.
• PE registration is required for principal-level candidates with 9+ years of relevant experience and may be required for senior-level business needs.
• Knowledge of state and federal pipeline safety regulations, including 49 CFR 192, 49 CFR 193, 49 CFR 199, and 49 CFR 40.
• Experience facilitating or participating in state and federal inspections and audits is preferred.
