Senior Engineer - Gas (Utility Infrastructure): Leading the planning, design, and execution of complex gas and utility infrastructure projects with an accent on system analysis, grid modernization, safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. Focus on resolving high-impact technical challenges, conducting field inspections, coordinating project execution, and providing technical leadership and mentorship.

Location: Hybrid in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States

Salary: $103,200–$141,900 per year, plus a 15% annual bonus for eligible positions

What you will do

  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of complex gas and utility infrastructure projects.
  • Perform advanced system analysis, performance studies, outage investigations, field testing, troubleshooting, and peer reviews.
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies for grid modernization and projects with significant financial and operational impact.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, resource allocation, documentation, and commissioning planning.
  • Conduct field inspections and resolve high-impact technical issues while supporting safety, reliability, and compliance goals.
  • Provide technical training, mentorship, guidance, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a Professional Engineer license.
  • At least 7 years of professional engineering experience and extensive experience in a specialized engineering area.
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering principles, designs, standards, codes, and practices.
  • Experience with utility infrastructure, including system analysis, planning, design coordination, standards development, or project execution.
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal, written, oral communication, presentation, report-generation, and technical-writing skills.
  • Working knowledge of analysis tools such as CYMDIST, PSS/E, Python, PLS-CAD, Pole Foreman, Power BI, or similar software.

Nice to have

  • Graduate degree or graduate-level work in Engineering, Business Administration, or Project Management.
  • Engineer-in-Training certification and/or Professional Engineer license.
  • Participation in industry committees or working groups, or published technical documents.
