Senior Software Developer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Primarily telework-based, with occasional meetings at client locations in Arlington, Virginia or Pensacola, Florida, and hirify.global facilities in the Washington, DC metro area. US citizenship and an active security clearance are required.

Salary: $119,323.00–$202,850.00 annually

What you will do

• Work with cybersecurity personnel to understand manual analytic processes and automate them.
• Create automated signature, behavioral, heuristic, anomalous, unsupervised-learning, predictive, and emerging analytics.
• Develop platforms that produce operational cybersecurity effects.
• Design, develop, and deploy production systems using continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
• Support continuous analysis and capabilities throughout the post-deployment lifecycle.
• Refine analytics and countermeasures by analyzing information, reviewing outputs, and improving performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience or a master’s degree with 10+ years of experience in software development.
• At least 3 years of Python development experience.
• At least 3 years of professional experience developing with AWS serverless architecture.
• Familiarity with federal cybersecurity requirements and multiple analytics types, including file, network, and host-based analytics.
• Active security clearance required.
• US citizenship required due to contract requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with intrusion detection or prevention, information sharing, core infrastructure, and cybersecurity analytics.
• Experience with Hadoop, Cloudera, Spark, Databricks, Power BI, Kibana, or Splunk, including Splunk Machine Learning.
• Machine learning fundamentals, real-time automation, shell scripting, Linux, and cloud environments.
• Experience with network monitoring tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, Zeek, SiLK, or YAF.
• AWS, CASP+, or higher-level security certifications; experience with SAFe.
