Sr. Software Engineer II, Cloud/Backend (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid (Sunnyvale, CA or Redmond, WA). Must be eligible for CJIS clearance (U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status).

Salary: $160,000 - $250,000

What you will do

• Build and scale cloud-based systems to detect targeted attacks on a global scale.
• Design and implement elegant solutions for complex technical problems primarily using Go.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to evolve endpoint-to-cloud communications and integrate ML models.
• Mentor fellow engineers and ensure code quality through testing paradigms and peer reviews.
• Utilize AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows, and improve efficiency.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status (required for CJIS clearance).
• 8+ years of experience building and scaling production backend systems.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, scalability challenges, and computer science fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, Java, C#, or C++.
• Experience with Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch/Opensearch, and Redis/Valkey.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or OCI) and deploying into Linux environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with Apache Flink or similar stream processing systems.
• Knowledge of computer and network security.
• Experience with scalable microservices architectures.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
