Software Developer

Salary: $140,000–$165,000 per year

What you will do

• Analyze functional requirements and design applications for finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts.
• Translate technical designs and logic flow charts into reliable, high-quality software.
• Document system architecture, data flows, developed products, and user-level processes.
• Deploy and configure application services using AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Compute Engine.
• Configure Linux servers and manage containerized applications with Docker, LXC, or Rocket.
• Design CI/CD and continuous monitoring solutions, test and debug software, improve efficiency, and provide technical direction to other programmers.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in software development and information system design.
• Experience developing applications for large-scale database management systems.
• Ability to translate complex design specifications into functional software and refine it through testing and debugging.
• Ability to work on-site in Huntsville, Alabama.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Salt.
• Familiarity with cloud-native monitoring and logging tools.
• Agile development experience with Jira and GitLab.
• Experience developing government functional-area applications.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code principles.
