Salary: $140,000 - $215,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable backend services and Golang microservices for a risk intelligence platform.
• Architect supporting infrastructure including databases, real-time data pipelines, and monitoring solutions.
• Create intuitive command-line utilities and APIs to integrate with the platform ecosystem.
• Collaborate with UX/UI and Sensors teams to deliver integrated solutions with comprehensive documentation.
• Drive architectural improvements and optimize performance through iterative refinement.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to high-level technical decision-making processes.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of production experience building and maintaining large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with Apache Spark, Apache Flink, and Kafka for high-velocity streaming and batch ETL workloads.
• Advanced programming expertise in strongly typed languages, primarily Golang and Python.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred, plus Azure and GCP).
• Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making and streamline workflows.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Sunnyvale, CA office 2-3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Expertise in tuning Spark and Flink processing at scale.
• Experience with Graph databases and wide-column databases like Cassandra/CQL.
• Cybersecurity industry experience or relevant certifications.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
