What you will do

• Design and perform stress analyses for ASME BPVC Section III Class 1, 2, and 3 piping systems and components.
• Design and analyze ASME Section III NF pipe supports using hand calculations or ANSYS.
• Perform static and dynamic analyses covering deadweight, thermal effects, seismic events, fluid transients, response spectra, and time histories.
• Prepare and review engineering specifications, drawings, CAD models, and technical documentation in collaboration with drafters.
• Review Siemens NX models and propose piping reroutes or support reconfigurations to satisfy stress criteria.
• Work under ASME NQA-1 quality assurance requirements and applicable U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission guidelines.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Engineering from a four-year ABET-accredited college or university, preferably in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering.
• At least 6 years of relevant full-time professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience designing and performing stress analysis for ASME BPVC Section III piping systems under NB, NC, or ND-3600 requirements.
• Eligibility to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
• Ability to travel nationally and locally as needed.
• Ability to understand and implement 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1 quality assurance requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with Bentley AutoPIPE or a similar piping analysis code.
• Experience with ANSYS and ASME Section III NB-3200 component analysis.
• Experience with ASME Section III NF supports.
• Professional Engineer certification.
