Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Onsite in Murphy, North Carolina, United States

Salary: $50,000–$63,000 annually

What you will do

• Manage assigned manufacturing engineering projects and support process development and continuous improvement.
• Review product designs for manufacturability and support FMEA activities.
• Approve engineering drawings and create assembly operations, manufacturing instructions, and routings.
• Design concepts for production tools and fixtures, assembly line layouts, and packaging solutions.
• Perform cost analysis, provide labor content for quotes, and justify and purchase capital equipment.
• Provide daily floor support and assist offshore suppliers as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology, or equivalent manufacturing engineering experience and education; an associate’s degree may be considered.
• At least one year of experience manufacturing electromechanical devices or in a related field.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Experience with CAD for visual work instructions, statistical monitoring practices, Lean/5S manufacturing, and tooling design.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial machinery and willingness to travel as needed to support product lines.
• Access to U.S. export-controlled information is required for this position.
