TL;DR
Data Science Manager (AI): Developing data-driven consulting and analytics solutions for Visa clients using advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI with an accent on agentic AI workflows, large language model integration, and complex data preparation. Focus on designing production-ready analytical solutions, evaluating agent reliability, translating business needs into measurable outcomes, and communicating insights through storytelling and visualization.
Location: Frankfurt, Germany; at least 3 days per week in the office

What you will do
- Develop data-driven propositions using ’s data assets and value-added services to address client acquisition, usage, and retention needs.
- Partner with Sales, Consulting & Analytics, and Product teams to identify opportunities and convert insights into funded projects.
- Define business problems, commercial outcomes, success metrics, analytical methodologies, and delivery plans with internal and external stakeholders.
- Execute data science projects using statistical, machine learning, and AI techniques to generate business-focused insights.
- Provide subject-matter expertise and quality assurance across complex data science engagements.
- Feed recurring client needs and market trends into ’s data science product and solution roadmap.
Requirements
- Advanced analytics and AI experience, including predictive modeling, machine learning, experimentation, or agentic AI systems.
- Strong hands-on experience preparing, cleaning, transforming, validating, and feature-engineering large datasets.
- Production-grade Python and SQL skills, including data manipulation and machine learning workflows with tools such as pandas and scikit-learn.
- Experience designing agentic AI workflows with multi-step reasoning, tool-augmented agents, orchestration frameworks, reliability evaluation, and production failure-mode management.
- Knowledge of large language model integration, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, function or tool calling, and memory management.
- Ability to translate business needs into end-to-end analytical and AI solutions and communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
