Consultant Data Science (Healthcare)

Location: Hybrid work in Hamburg or Berlin, Germany, with the option to work abroad for up to 30 calendar days per year.

What you will do

• Maintain and develop ranking and rating databases, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Contribute to benchmarking and custom healthcare quality projects from metric design through scoring and results analysis.
• Integrate, clean, standardize, and validate datasets from hospitals, ministries, and external partners.
• Develop and document data models, scoring frameworks, and reproducible analytical workflows with Healthcare Analysis and IT teams.
• Support the Unified Health Database and future Healthcare Data Platform.
• Perform analyses, reporting, peer reviews, and internal QA checks while identifying improvements for healthcare products and workflows.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Health, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in data analytics, modeling, or applied statistics, preferably in healthcare or another data-intensive field.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with data visualization and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau, including dashboard design and data storytelling.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
• Fluent English required; German is an advantage.

Nice to have

• Experience with healthcare KPIs, quality metrics, or benchmarking concepts.
• Previous consulting or client-facing experience.
