First Article Inspector (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Perform complete First Article Inspections in accordance with AS9102 and customer-specific requirements.
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, and features against engineering drawings and specifications, including full GD&T requirements.
• Prepare FAIR documentation and validation packages for internal and customer approval.
• Record inspection data in digital quality systems and formally report non-conformances.
• Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and receiving, in-process, and final inspection activities.
• Work with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to resolve technical queries and improve manufacturability.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in aerospace dimensional inspection.
• Strong AS9102 First Article Inspection experience is essential.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment, including verniers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, depth micrometers, and manual or CNC CMMs.
• Experience in AS9100 quality environments; HNC/HND or equivalent in Engineering, or extensive aerospace quality experience.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain UK Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance. Flexibility to work shift patterns is required.
