Senior Software Developer (Python/AWS)

Salary: $150,000–$165,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade services and APIs using Python, Java, Spring Boot, Spring AI, and XML-based integrations.
• Build distributed, cloud-native microservices on AWS with high availability, fault tolerance, resilience, and performance.
• Develop AI-enabled application components using large language models, AI agents, and prompt engineering.
• Create reusable application components integrating enterprise systems and third-party services.
• Design and manage AWS solutions using ECS Fargate, Aurora MySQL Serverless, SQS, and SNS.
• Support production environments, resolve critical issues, and ensure compliance with USPTO federal security standards.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Java, Spring Boot, and the Spring AI Framework in AWS environments.
• Experience designing scalable, resilient, secure, and mission-critical enterprise applications.
• Eligibility to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Ability to collaborate with product owners, architects, technical leads, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment.

• Experience with AI-powered enterprise applications and LLM-based solutions.
• Prompt engineering experience.
• Experience with 24x7 production systems and Agile ceremonies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
