Enterprise Architect (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Develop enterprise and system architecture recommendations for VMware, virtual machines, VDI, Windows/Linux platforms, OpenShift, storage, applications, and supporting infrastructure.
• Design scalable backup, recovery, replication, and long-term retention solutions across physical and virtual workloads.
• Define integration patterns using Cohesity, Dell PowerProtect Data Manager, NFS, SMB, vProxy, DD Boost, NDMP, REST APIs, S3-compatible storage, and VMware platforms.
• Establish high-availability, redundancy, failover, restoration, and application-aware protection strategies aligned with RPO and RTO requirements.
• Lead or support Business Impact Analysis, risk management, contingency planning, business continuity, disaster recovery, and COOP reconstitution activities.
• Produce architecture diagrams, technical recommendations, standards, roadmaps, and decision-support materials for government technical leaders and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Senior-level enterprise architecture or systems engineering experience in mission-critical IT environments with high availability and 24/7 operational support.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, systems engineering, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Strong knowledge of VMware ESXi, vCenter, vSphere, vSAN, VDI, Windows Server, Linux/RHEL, and container or OpenShift platforms.
• Experience with enterprise storage, SAN, backup, replication, recovery, RPO/RTO validation, failover, restoration testing, and disaster recovery/COOP capabilities.
• Working knowledge of Army and DoD security, continuity, and system-management requirements, including applicable NIST guidance.
• Active SECRET security clearance required.

Nice to have

• TOGAF, DoDAF, VMware VCP/VCAP, Red Hat, storage, or enterprise backup/recovery certification.
• Experience with Army/DoD continuity planning, Business Impact Analysis, disaster recovery testing, and COOP reconstitution.
• Experience architecting infrastructure across classified and unclassified environments.
