Cloud Architect (Cybersecurity)

Salary: $192,000–$230,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure cloud architectures for production environments.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and DevOps engineers to translate business requirements into cloud solutions.
• Evaluate cloud platforms and technologies, including Kubernetes, to improve efficiency, scalability, availability, and performance.
• Optimize systems for high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting, and resolve performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and operational issues.
• Track developments in cloud computing, distributed systems, and cybersecurity.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing and implementing cloud-based solutions in production as a Cloud Architect or in a similar role.
• Strong expertise with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including API- or programming-level use of at least one platform.
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
• Experience building highly scalable distributed systems and resilient cloud services.
• Programming experience with Java or Python, plus REST API client experience.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and agile delivery skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with networking and security controls.
• Knowledge of CloudFormation, Terraform, Spring or similar ecosystems, and Docker containers.
• Knowledge of Gang of Four design patterns.
