Domain Architect - Storage, Backup & Recovery (Hybrid)

Location: Berlin, Connecticut, United States; hybrid schedule with at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Must be able to work up to five days in the office when required and travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire as necessary. Emergency storm assignments may be required.

Salary: $131,090–$145,650 annually, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Own the architecture, standards, practices, roadmaps, and governance for storage, backup, and recovery technologies.
• Assess current capabilities, identify technology gaps, and define high-level migration plans aligned with budgeting and capital planning.
• Develop reference architectures, solution guidelines, metrics, patterns, and reusable technology building blocks.
• Research and evaluate hardware, software, vendors, emerging technologies, standard configurations, and technology platforms.
• Advise solution architects and technical stakeholders on integrating domain technologies into compliant, supportable, and cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and subject matter experts while assessing organizational and financial impacts of architectural changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience as an IT Architect or Lead Subject Matter Expert.
• At least 5 years of related experience across technology or application architecture, design, implementation, support, and management.
• Deep knowledge of at least one technical domain or experience across multiple technical domains, including vendors, emerging capabilities, best practices, patterns, cost models, and operating models.
• Knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies, IT service management, IT standards and controls, financial models, and budgeting.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants must already have authorization to work in the United States.
