Head of Finance (Financial Control/Accounting): Overseeing financial control, statutory reporting, tax, liquidity, and finance transformation for a global business with an accent on technical accounting, regulatory compliance, and international reporting. Focus on strengthening control frameworks, managing foreign exchange and working capital, partnering with European and US stakeholders, and leading a large finance team.
Location: Bolton, United Kingdom; office-based
Salary: £95,000–£120,000 per annum plus benefits

What you will do
- Oversee financial control and maintain a robust control framework.
- Provide oversight of statutory accounts, tax, and regulatory matters.
- Partner with senior management across Europe.
- Manage cash, liquidity, foreign exchange, and working capital.
- Coordinate efficient reporting with the US parent business.
- Lead the finance transformation project across Europe and manage a large finance team.
Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualification.
- Extremely strong technical accounting skills, ideally developed through initial training in an accountancy practice.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Experience managing large teams and working with SOX compliance is desirable.
