Portfolio Finance Manager (Software): Leading personnel and processes across the finance function for a selection of software companies within the Vesta portfolio with an accent on management accounting, financial reporting, and controls. Focus on mentoring the accounting team, conducting quarterly strategic reviews, and supporting acquisition integration.

Location: Must be based in the UK; position is based in the Wallingford (Oxfordshire) office with occasional travel.

What you will do

• Line manage and mentor members of the Management Accountant team to strengthen internal capabilities.
• Produce timely and reliable monthly management accounts and investigate variances against benchmarks.
• Lead process and system improvement projects to increase business efficiency and profitability.
• Support business heads with the Group’s Quarterly Strategic Review and forecasting process.
• Prepare financial statements, tax computations, cash flow forecasts, and VAT returns.
• Assist with acquisition-related activities, including the integration of people, systems, and accounting entries.

Requirements

• CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualification.
• Proven people management experience and a track record of building effective teams.
• Strong commercial acumen and advanced financial analysis skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office programs.
• Eligibility to live and work in the UK.

Nice to have

• Experience in the software or high-tech industry.
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Project management skills.
• Experience working within a multi-national organization.
