TL;DR
Portfolio Finance Manager (Software): Leading management accounting, financial reporting, controls, and finance processes across a portfolio of UK software companies with an accent on people management, commercial analysis, tax compliance, and acquisition integration. Focus on producing accurate monthly accounts, improving financial systems and processes, supporting strategic forecasting, and communicating business impact to senior stakeholders.
Location: Remote - UK Vesta; based in the Wallingford, Oxfordshire office. Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Occasional travel is required.

acquires, manages, and develops software companies serving vertical markets as part of Jonas Software and Constellation Software.
What you will do
- Lead, manage, mentor, and develop members of the Management Accountant team.
- Prepare timely monthly management accounts, financial statements, supporting schedules, tax computations, cash flow forecasts, and quarterly VAT returns.
- Own financial reporting, management accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial controls for a selection of portfolio companies.
- Analyze variances, support strategic forecasting, and communicate financial insights and recommendations to non-financial managers and senior business leaders.
- Lead process, system, and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and profitability.
- Support acquisitions through the integration of people, systems, processes, and acquisition accounting entries.
Requirements
- Professional CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualification.
- Demonstrated people management experience and a record of building effective teams and culture.
- Strong commercial acumen, financial analysis, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, changing environment and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK is required.
