API Integration Consultant

Location: Hoevelaken, the Netherlands, or Ghent/Hasselt, Belgium. Remote-first with one fixed office day per week in the Netherlands or Belgium; applicants may be required to attend onsite interviews.

What you will do

• Lead API integration projects for customers and partners in the Netherlands.
• Manage API certification programs end to end, including planning, testing, validation, and go/no-go decisions.
• Analyze requirements, advise on API solutions and best practices, and troubleshoot complex integration issues.
• Translate customer feedback and use cases into product improvements and roadmap input.
• Collaborate with Development, Product Management, and Sales on technical feasibility, integrations, and pre-sales activities.
• Contribute to API standardization, knowledge sharing, and certification process improvements across Belgium, the Netherlands, and the UK.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in API integrations and/or technical consulting.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Product Management, Development, and Sales.
• Fluent English and Dutch are required.
• Hands-on knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, OAuth2, and API keys.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman and cURL.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, proactive, and solution-oriented skills.

Nice to have

• Basic programming knowledge in JavaScript, Python, or C#.
• Experience troubleshooting complex integrations.
• Experience in a SaaS or platform-based environment.
• Experience working in an international environment.
