Director, Gas Control (Natural Gas)

Location: MA-Westborough (Technology Dr), United States. Travel between MA, CT, and NH is required, with occasional field work and emergency restoration assignments outside normal responsibilities, hours, and location.

Annual salary: $179,030–$198,920, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Lead Gas Control room operations and oversee safe, continuous, and reliable gas distribution service.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state control room regulations, including 49 CFR 192.631 and Transportation Security Administration security directives.
• Coordinate LNG and LPG operations, gas supply, curtailment planning, integrated planning, and emergency response.
• Lead the development and continuous improvement of telemetry devices, installations, and cost-effective operating practices.
• Implement API RP 1173 within the control room and create productivity, efficiency, performance, and budget reporting.
• Develop Gas Control staff, set performance expectations, manage resources, and lead operational and organizational change.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, applied science, a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least 12 years of experience in gas distribution, utilities, or a technical field.
• Thorough knowledge of federal and state Control Room Management regulations.
• Working knowledge of information technology and gas business office automation and information systems.
• Strong administrative, communication, leadership, planning, and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of natural gas distribution operations.
• Master’s degree or MBA.
