Inventory Specialist

Location: Onsite in Douglasville, Georgia, United States

What you will do

• Fill customer orders and prepare products for shipment from the distribution center.
• Perform cycle counts, maintain inventory locations, monitor inventory levels, and process warehouse transactions.
• Research and reconcile inventory discrepancies, receiving exceptions, shipping issues, returns, damaged materials, and lost products.
• Receive incoming materials, verify quantities and descriptions against packing lists, and complete shipment documentation.
• Use RF handheld devices and Warehouse Management System dashboards for inventory processing and exception reporting.
• Load company and common-carrier vehicles and support receiving, stocking, staging, shipping, counter sales, and branch equipment maintenance as needed.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in inventory control or a high-volume warehouse or distribution center is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment certification is preferred.
• Customer orientation, communication, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel, automated order-entry systems, and internet-based tools.
• Ability to read procedures and safety documentation, follow instructions, work productively with others, and handle frequent walking, lifting, crouching, and warehouse equipment operation.
