Engineering Manager Chassis & Structure (Heavy Equipment)

What you will do

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of structural and chassis design engineers.
• Plan resources across customer-specific Engineering-to-Order solutions and strategic R&D projects.
• Manage budgets, cost estimates, financial follow-ups, and engineering delivery timelines.
• Ensure engineering solutions meet technical scope, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and quality-assure engineering methods and tools, while mitigating technical risks and ensuring machine safety and system compliance.
• Collaborate with Supply, Service, Product Support, and other stakeholders while driving continuous improvement and competence development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of people-management experience as an Engineering Manager, Team Leader, or Technical Project Manager.
• At least 5 years of mechanical-design experience in heavy equipment, material handling, lifting applications, or automotive industries.
• Proficiency with modern CAD software, PLM systems, and risk-mitigation tools such as FMEA.
• Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis software and international safety and regulatory standards, including CE, ISO, OSHA, or EN standards.
• Fluent spoken and written English required; fluent Swedish is a strong advantage.
