Engineering Manager (Manufacturing)

Engineering and technical services provider partnering with a privately owned local coating manufacturer in a growth phase.

What you will do

• Set the strategic direction for manufacturing processes, equipment selection, process inputs, and technology adoption.
• Develop and implement automation projects aimed at reducing direct labor costs.
• Lead continuous improvement using KPIs for safety, quality, delivery, cost, variation reduction, and problem solving.
• Use Plex ERP/MRP and statistical tools to collect, organize, and analyze manufacturing data.
• Mentor, coach, and evaluate engineering staff while building collaborative teams.
• Oversee maintenance resources, environmental and hazardous waste compliance, safety systems, customer engineering communication, and project launches.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 10 years of manufacturing experience, including 5 years as an engineering manager.
• Experience leading and implementing industrial automation projects.
• Strong experience with ERP/MRP software, Microsoft Office, CAD, and Minitab.
• Experience with DOE projects, SPC analysis, Lean Six Sigma initiatives, financial statements, and budgets.
• Experience in an ISO 9001 or other regulated environment, with strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
