Engineering Manager (Drivetrain, Function & Driver Environment)

What you will do

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of system integrators and design engineers.
• Plan resources across customer-specific Engineering-to-Order solutions and long-term R&D projects.
• Manage budgets, cost estimates, and financial follow-up for the engineering function.
• Ensure engineering deliveries meet technical scope, quality requirements, safety standards, and timelines.
• Develop and quality-assure engineering methods and tools while mitigating technical risks and ensuring machine safety and system compliance.
• Collaborate with Supply, Service, Product Support, and other stakeholders while driving knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in people management as an Engineering Manager, Team Leader, or Technical Project Manager.
• At least 5 years of mechanical design experience in heavy equipment, material handling, lifting applications, or automotive industries.
• Experience with modern CAD software, PLM systems, FMEA, physical architecture, packaging, and installation of hoses, cables, and auxiliary equipment.
• Strong knowledge of drivetrain systems, fluid power and hydraulics, vehicle ergonomics, and driver-environment layout.
• Fluency in spoken and written English is required; fluent Swedish is a strong advantage.

Nice to have

• Experience with mobile equipment.
• Knowledge of functional safety, machine safety standards such as ISO 13849 and ISO 26262, and automotive regulatory compliance.
