Junior Consultant (UC Engineering)

Location: Dublin, Republic of Ireland; travel to client offices is required when needed

Salary: £30,000–£45,000 per year for the permanent role; contract rate up to €200 per day

What you will do

• Support IT infrastructure, storage, networking, and enterprise environments.
• Work with SAN/NAS storage technologies, including iSCSI, Fibre Channel, and NFS.
• Apply foundational knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing.
• Help troubleshoot infrastructure issues and develop technical expertise.
• Collaborate and communicate with infrastructure teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in IT infrastructure, storage, or networking; internships and academic experience are considered.
• Basic understanding of SAN/NAS storage concepts and enterprise environments.
• Foundational networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing basics.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lift at least 22 kg (50 lb).
• Ability to travel to offices in Dublin when required.

Nice to have

• Exposure to VMware vSphere, Cisco UCS, or NetApp.
• Basic knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
