Engineering Manager (Battery Systems)

Location: Onsite in Mossville, Illinois, United States, five days per week. Relocation assistance is available. Required travel is less than 10%, including domestic and international travel.

Salary: $147,760–$221,640 per year.

What you will do

• Lead mechanical, thermal, and electrical engineering teams designing battery modules and battery distribution units.
• Own design control, technical design evolution, project planning, detailed execution, and subsystem verification.
• Plan and validate new product introduction and small-batch development programs, including testing, budgeting, cost estimation, and schedules.
• Define product and manufacturing strategies with chief engineers, manufacturing, procurement, compliance, suppliers, and customers.
• Drive safety reviews, hazard assessments, regulatory certification, APQP, supplier selection, and supplier development.
• Provide technical leadership across product development teams while protecting intellectual property.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent in an accredited engineering curriculum.
• Experience with technical decision-making, strategic and tactical planning, project management, and complex engineering challenges.
• Ability to manage people, resolve performance and workplace conflicts, and build high-performing engineering teams.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across countries, cultures, functions, suppliers, and customers.
• Ability to work onsite in Mossville, Illinois, five days per week.
• US work sponsorship is not available.
