Controls Engineering Manager

Location: Everett, Washington, United States; onsite

Salary: $162K–$192K annually

What you will do

• Lead controls engineers delivering and maintaining control and data acquisition systems.
• Support systems used for high-voltage electrical test bays, plasma technology development machines, manufacturing end-of-line testing, and FRC plasma machines.
• Manage collaboration with Engineering on the Orion fusion power plant control system.
• Identify and mitigate technical and personnel blockers.
• Support career growth, recruitment, and team development.
• Define and maintain code development and documentation practices for future growth.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience managing controls engineers in a scaling environment.
• Experience developing control systems for large-scale, complex systems.
• Technical proficiency with LabVIEW and NI hardware, including PXI, cRIO, RT, and FPGA.
• Experience integrating PLCs into LabVIEW- and NI-based control systems.
• Experience integrating text-based code such as C or Matlab into LabVIEW- and NI-based control systems.
• Ability to work onsite in Everett, Washington.
