Engineering Manager (Energy Projects)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; hybrid work is available for most office roles.

What you will do

• Provide strategic and tactical leadership for engineering teams, capital projects, and business initiatives.
• Lead engineering support for capital projects, facility improvements, and operational initiatives.
• Develop engineering design strategies, project scopes, cost estimates, and resource plans.
• Oversee internal engineering teams and third-party engineering firms to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage engineering resources, budgets, forecasts, and project performance.
• Build partnerships with operations, project management, technical services, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in engineering, operations, project execution, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience leading projects, engineering teams, or major initiatives.
• Experience with engineering design and project execution for capital projects.
• Experience with Process Safety Management, Management of Change, engineering standards, and document management systems.
• Experience managing external engineering consultants and contractor resources.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer certification.
