Sr Engineer - Substation Equipment (Hybrid Schedule)ID)

Location: Hooksett, New Hampshire, United States; hybrid schedule requiring at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Employees must be able to work up to five days in the office when required and travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire.

Salary: $129,450–$143,830 annual salary, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Provide engineering support for transformers, breakers, switches, battery systems, and other substation equipment.
• Support projects integrating online monitoring technologies into substation assets.
• Administer oil sampling, testing, and analysis programs, including purchasing, invoicing, and resource tracking.
• Review diagnostic and test reports, identify abnormal conditions and risks, and produce customized technical reports.
• Develop maintenance and replacement strategies for Transmission and Distribution assets.
• Support emergency restoration, storm response, and emergency oil analysis activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; a BSEE degree is preferred.
• Five years of related experience required for the senior engineer level.
• Working knowledge of Transmission and Distribution assets, especially oil-filled substation equipment.
• Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, maintain data integrity, and create ad hoc database reports.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel, PI, Doble, PowerPoint, terminal emulators, Cascade, and monitoring or testing equipment software.
• Valid driver’s license, availability for emergency restoration assignments, and ability to travel between MA, CT, and NH are required. Visa sponsorship is not available.

• Knowledge of utility power systems.
• BSEE degree.
