Technician – Field Service Intralogistics AutoStore UK (AutoStore)

Location: Hertford, with customer sites mainly across Greater Birmingham and the Midlands

What you will do

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on AutoStore systems.
• Carry out remote diagnostics and troubleshoot PLC and basic software issues.
• Provide customer training, on-call support, and technical advice within agreed timescales.
• Support AutoStore products and services, identify business opportunities, and generate leads.
• Maintain service reports, customer feedback records, and spare-parts inventory.
• Represent hirify.global professionally at customer sites while complying with health and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Technical, mechanical, electronic, or electrical experience; a relevant degree or equivalent background is expected.
• Experience in field customer service and familiarity with diagnostic methods.
• Experience integrating mechatronic machines with warehouse management and ERP software.
• Knowledge of industrial communications such as fieldbus and Ethernet.
• Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.
• Fluent English and an existing UK work permit are required. The role also requires being free of vertigo.
