Senior Vendor Manager (All Genders)

Location: Munich, Germany; hybrid, with 60% of the time in the office and 40% at home. The role also offers the option to work for 20 days abroad in approved countries.

What you will do

• Manage and grow strategic and complex vendor relationships across local champion brands.
• Identify and sign up new vendors, create catalog items, negotiate contracts and commercial terms, and resolve operational issues.
• Improve customer experience by lowering costs, reducing defects, strengthening supply chains, and driving operational efficiency.
• Review promotional performance and develop prioritized vendor marketing plans that maximize margin and customer experience.
• Audit vendor metrics, evaluate product and service quality, and coordinate solutions to customer pain points.
• Lead cross-functional projects, develop annual plans for vendors or categories, and maintain robust process documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in category management, vendor management, or purchasing, ideally in retail, e-commerce, or the pet industry.
• Experience with analytical and strategic project work and the ability to structure complex information.
• Strong influencing, communication, vendor management, problem-solving, and stakeholder guidance skills.
• Fluent English and German at B2 level or above.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Availability to work in a hybrid setup in Munich, Germany, with 60% office attendance.
