What you will do

• Lead and grow a team of backend engineers, empowering the team through delegation and delivering end-to-end engineering solutions.
• Define the team roadmap and vision with Product Managers, business leaders, operations, and other stakeholders.
• Drive execution of high-quality solutions aligned with customer needs and business objectives.
• Provide architectural guidance and professional development for a team of nine engineers.
• Promote innovation, collaboration, effective communication, and the use of advanced technologies.
• Oversee hiring in partnership with recruiting to build a diverse and inclusive team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 7+ years of industry experience, including 2+ years of people management leading backend teams of five or more engineers.
• Experience in fast-paced, product-focused engineering environments and hands-on technical leadership.
• Experience with distributed system design, system scaling, and performance optimization.
• Experience working with remote teams across different time zones and professional fluency in English.
• Experience developing B2B products and data integrations through APIs, file exchange, or self-service tooling.
