Lead Engineer

Location: Remote globally; collaboration across multiple countries and time zones

What you will do

• Lead the technical design and execution of major products, features, and engineering initiatives.
• Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
• Stay hands-on through coding, prototyping, code reviews, debugging, and production problem-solving.
• Make architecture decisions and technical trade-offs while managing scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Mentor engineers, review technical designs and code, and strengthen engineering practices across teams.
• Monitor production systems, investigate incidents, resolve root causes, and continuously improve reliability.

Requirements

• Significant experience building and shipping production software systems.
• Deep expertise in one or more areas including backend, frontend, distributed systems, APIs, databases, or cloud infrastructure.
• Strong system design, architecture, coding, debugging, and production engineering skills.
• Experience leading major engineering projects or providing technical leadership to other engineers.
• Ability to explain complex technical decisions, work through ambiguity, and connect engineering choices to product and business outcomes.
• Strong English communication is required for collaboration across global teams.
