Quality Assurance Inspector (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Perform incoming inspections of purchased parts, components, PCBAs, and other materials against drawings, specifications, purchase orders, certificates, and quality requirements.
• Conduct in-process inspections during satellite assembly, integration, and testing.
• Support final inspections of subassemblies and completed satellites, including measurement, testing, and documentation of results.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical equipment, torque tools, and electrical test equipment.
• Record inspection results in QMS, MES, and ERP systems to maintain digital build records and traceability.
• Identify and document nonconformances, support containment and disposition, and follow safety, 5S, cleanroom-like, and ESD-safe practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing inspection, or a similar hands-on manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and digital work instructions.
• Familiarity with dimensional inspection and functional GD&T.
• Experience with mechanical or electrical assembly inspection, hand tools, torque tools, and PCB or laboratory test equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Applicants for this U.S. role must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or otherwise protected individuals under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, space, electronics, or precision mechanical manufacturing.
• Technical training or ASQ certification.
• Current or past IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification.
