Quality Assurance Inspector (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in Burlingame, California, United States

What you will do

• Perform incoming inspections of purchased parts, components, PCBAs, and other materials against drawings, specifications, purchase orders, and certificates.
• Conduct in-process inspections throughout satellite assembly, integration, and test operations.
• Complete final inspections of subassemblies and satellites, including measurement, testing, and documentation of results.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical equipment, torque tools, and electrical test equipment.
• Record inspection results in QMS, MES, and ERP systems to maintain digital build records and product traceability.
• Document nonconformances and support containment, disposition, first-article, receiving, sampling, and special inspection activities.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing inspection, or a similar hands-on manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and digital work instructions.
• Knowledge of dimensional inspection and functional GD&T.
• Experience inspecting mechanical and/or electrical assemblies and using PCB and laboratory test equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; strong attention to detail, documentation, traceability, teamwork, and communication.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, space, electronics, or precision mechanical manufacturing.
• Technical training or ASQ certification.
• Current or past IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification.
