Lead Engineer (Hybrid Schedule)

Location: Hybrid schedule in Hartford, CT or Tolland, CT. Travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire and emergency restoration assignments may be required.

Annual salary: $145,670–$161,860, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Lead the strategic development, expansion, planning, design, maintenance, and operation of electric distribution and transmission assets.
• Supervise, coach, develop, assign, and review the performance of engineers and other staff.
• Develop infrastructure strategies, operating philosophies, asset renewal decisions, and multi-year Life Cycle Plans.
• Manage reliability analysis, system event trending, equipment condition monitoring, preventive maintenance optimization, and capital planning.
• Provide technical direction during normal and emergency operations, including evaluation of system failures and corrective actions.
• Develop engineering designs, standards, and procedures, evaluate technologies and equipment, and assume project manager responsibilities when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• At least eight years of technical, operational, or engineering experience in the electrical utility industry.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.
• Must be able to work in the hybrid Hartford or Tolland office arrangement and travel between MA, CT, and NH as necessary.
• Must be available for emergency restoration assignments, including work outside normal responsibilities, hours, and location.
