TL;DR

Location: Everett, WA, United States; on-site

hirify.global is a fusion power company developing prototype fusion machines and pursuing the construction of a commercial fusion power plant.

What you will do

  • Contribute to the architecture and design of electrical subsystems for fusion machines.
  • Define and manage system and subsystem requirements with traceability to implemented hardware.
  • Develop Interface Control Documents covering electrical, controls, and mechanical interfaces.
  • Plan and support verification activities, testing, hardware bring-up, and prototyping.
  • Diagnose issues across electrical hardware, controls systems, and subsystem interfaces using hands-on lab work.
  • Support hardware integration, commissioning, design reviews, and engineering documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical systems engineering, integration, testing, or hardware development.
  • Experience with electrical subsystem architecture, technical requirements, and Interface Control Documents.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and interconnect documentation.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis using oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers, or spectrum analyzers.
  • Experience collaborating with electrical, controls, mechanical, and test teams, suppliers, or external partners.

Nice to have

  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, robotics, energy systems, or other safety-critical industries.
  • Knowledge of large-scale, high-voltage, or high-current electrical systems, grounding, protection, and EMI/EMC.
  • Familiarity with requirements management or PLM tools such as Flow, Jama, DOORS, Teamcenter, or Confluence.
  • Experience with system safety, reliability methods, FMEA, FMECA, integration testing, or electrical harness standards.
