Post School Success Associate (South Africa)

Location: Remote, based in Johannesburg, South Africa, supporting hirify.global Ormonde, Midrand, and Ruimsig secondary schools.

What you will do

• Provide one-on-one career, university, college, and alternative pathway guidance for students in Grades 8–13.
• Support local and international university applications, including essays, personal statements, transcripts, recommendations, financial aid forms, standardized testing, and deadlines.
• Liaise with students, families, school leaders, university representatives, Concourse Global, Universities South Africa, and university partners.
• Run pathway workshops, SAT preparation, parent and learner support sessions, and future-planning activities.
• Track student progress, alumni outcomes, application milestones, offers, and post-school success using internal databases.
• Collaborate across schools, regions, and functions to share success stories and improve post-school support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education Management, College Counselling, Psychology, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in college counseling in a secondary school or after-high-school program.
• Experience with international tertiary education and guiding students through applications abroad.
• Knowledge of local tertiary education pathways, career-choice research, and the future of work.
• Experience mentoring adolescents and building effective relationships across teams and organizations.
• Strong project management, communication, problem-solving, execution, and deadline-management skills, plus knowledge of the Cambridge curriculum and progression pathways.
