TL;DR
Training Support Manager - PLMSP (training and learning development): Developing and delivering training, mentoring, and learning programs for PALM scheme workers, families, and Labour Sending Units with an accent on capacity building, cross-country collaboration, and digital learning. Focus on implementing PALM Prepare, assessing training needs, building trainer communities of practice, and introducing AI-enabled learning solutions.
Location: Office-based or hybrid in Brisbane, Suva, Port Vila, or Port Moresby
Company
delivers international development programs and is contracted by the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to deliver the Pacific Labour Mobility Support Program.
What you will do
- Lead the ongoing development, implementation, and improvement of PALM Prepare and related training programs.
- Develop learning and development options for workers and families throughout the PALM journey.
- Build mentoring, communication, and cross-learning practices through the Trainer Community of Practice.
- Partner with sending-country governments and PLMSP stakeholders to assess capacity needs and deliver learning solutions.
- Contribute to regional training planning, budgeting, and institutional strengthening initiatives.
- Champion digital learning, technology, and AI-enabled training approaches while mentoring junior colleagues.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in education, training, international development, project management, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience developing, facilitating, and managing training programs, ideally in an English as a Second Language context.
- Understanding of the Australian technical and vocational education system.
- Experience working with Pacific programs and strong knowledge of GEDSI concepts and issues.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, presentation, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and adapt to evolving program requirements.
