Director I, AP Computer Science Principles Curriculum and Assessment

Location: Remote - USA. Candidates near hirify.global offices may choose a hybrid schedule with in-office work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Occasional business travel is required, including 6–8 trips per year and up to two additional weeks for the AP Reading. Must be eligible and authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $96,000–$135,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead the development, revision, review, and management of formative and summative assessments for AP Computer Science Principles.
• Develop AP Exam forms and scoring materials aligned with approved curricula and test specifications.
• Train, supervise, and collaborate with educators, college faculty, teachers, psychometricians, and other subject-matter experts.
• Facilitate Test Development Committee meetings and coordinate the annual AP Reading, including planning, scoring operations, and publications.
• Monitor exam validity, security, reliability, fairness, quality, and reader reliability, and help establish fair and reliable cut scores.
• Refine the AP Computer Science Principles Course Framework and support new instructional products, professional learning, and higher-education engagement.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a directly related discipline; a doctorate is strongly preferred.
• Expertise in Computer Science Principles and at least five years of experience in standardized assessment development or related work.
• Knowledge of current computer science trends, with digital assessment and teaching experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, technical proficiency, organization, planning, collaboration, and attention to detail.
• Ability to implement processes, manage project plans and schedules, maintain documentation, and work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Authorization to work in the United States and availability for required travel and AP Reading participation.
